As Peniche is a peninsula, hence the name means this, was once an island due to this, it has many sheltered beaches facing different directions to catch all swell conditions suitable for all levels and offers beach reef and point breaks.
Not only is Peniche the place to go to surf the variety of waves, so to are the surrounding towns and villages, for example Nazaré has now become famous for its record breaking 100ft monster waves, a great family day out you may even see some tow surfing in action with the right swell forecast it’s only 30 mins drive from the Lodge and is a very beautiful town to visit and buy some souvenirs.
